Do you have any specific rules?

This blog encourages intelligent, civilized dialogue. As long as you subscribe to this principle, you should have no problems. However we reserve the right to run the blog as we see fit. If you have any problem with the way the blog is run, please send us a private email. We will work our best to have a blog where meaningful exchanges can take place.

My comment did not appear! What happened?

If this is the first time you comment, your comment may be held for moderation. Once your comment has been approved, most of your subsequent comments should appear immediately after you post. However, if your comment is very short and /or contains hyperlinks, our spam filter may treat it as a spam. Rest assured that we check our spam filter regularly and will release all legitimate comments in a timely manner (usually in a few hours). In the rare case your don’t see your comments after a prolonged period of time, please send us an email.

Is there a Terms of Service for Using HH?

What time zone is HH in?

HH is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our server time is set to Pacific Standard Time / Pacific Daylight Time (depending on the season of the year).

Can I use emoticons in comments?

Yes.  The usual, 🙂 😀 🙁 are supported.  (Here is a complete list of supported emoticons).

How do I get a “Letter” published on HH?

You may send us an email, or if it’s something you’d like to share with the community, you may post a comment in our open forum.

How do I subscribe to individual post’s comments?

At the bottom of all comments for any post, there is a field to specify your email address to subscribe.  After doing so, all comments and updates related to that post will be emailed to you automatically.  This is a great way to stay engaged on a particular topic you are interested in.
