Americans, of course! Various entities within the U.S. own $9.8 trillion and the remainder $4.5 trillion are owned by foreigners and foreign governments. The ONLY Previous Lightning Damaged Train Signaling System, UK August 2006
Here is one incident in York, UK that's actually very similar to the HSR collision in China, the lightning also knocked out the signaling system in the train station, but fortunately, no collisions.
