How CNN uses disaster to propagandize against a government

July 24, 2013 by YinYang 26 Comments

Western propaganda has become an art-form, and for the unsuspecting audience, it is invisible.  If you decide to be critical though, you will immediately see how thinly-veiled the … [Read more...] about How CNN uses disaster to propagandize against a government

CNN and Financial Times spin news of China topping U.S. in importing oil as shake up to geopolitics of natural resources

March 4, 2013 by YinYang 10 Comments

CNN recently repeated an article from Financial Times on the news China has temporarily overtaken the United States as the world's largest net oil importer. China will have her share of Baidu's … [Read more...] about Baidu CFO, Jennifer Li, “Gender is not a factor when it comes to success.. it’s your attitude towards work”

CNN’s latest look at a Shengzhen toy factory in going green

March 21, 2012 by YinYang 1 Comment

CNN is basically trash, though today I was forwarded a link to their look at a toy factory in Shengzhen trying to be more green. Of course, the typical Western view of the Chinese factory is like that of 19th century America or U.K.. There are horrendous working conditions, I am sure, in other sectors such as rare earth and coal mining. The Chinese government absolutely … [Read more...] about CNN’s latest look at a Shengzhen toy factory in going green

A conversation with Shaun Rein on China

January 7, 2012 by YinYang 72 Comments

(On January 5, 2012, I sat down with Shaun Rein, founder and Managing Director of the China Market Research Group, to talk about China. He gave us his insights into major events of 2011. In this hour-long interview, we touched on many topics: pollution, CNN and Christian Bale's recent run-in with Chinese police, food safety, Weibo, and so on.) YinYang:2011 was another … [Read more...] about A conversation with Shaun Rein on China
