I recall that in the 1980’s the Reagan Administration was embroiled in controversy in the Iran Contra Scandal where people in the US government got in trouble for funding Nicaraguan Contras. Now people in the Senate openly talk about arming Syrian ‘rebels’ without thinking twice. Another reason why the US don’t have Rule of Law.
